什麼是環氧合成樹脂(Epoxy)
工業地坪中, 環氧合成樹脂塗料(epoxy resin)所佔有的比率極高, 施工量急速成長, 係由於環氧合成樹脂塗料與其他塗料比較, 性能優異, 即對下地之接著性, 耐水性,耐藥品性, 物理性等均有極優異之性能。而又具備優良的耐放射性能, 所以也可供原子能關係的設施(如:核能發電廠’ X光室’ 核子試驗室等等)使用。
環氧合成樹脂的工業生產, 係依p, Castan的專利, 由瑞士的CIBA公司開始, 而在二次大戰後, 美國的SHELL公司及Dow CHEMICAL公司也參加生產。當時之基本樹脂係由dis-phenoi A與epichlorohydrin的縮合物,此後繼續研究開發至目前的多種樹脂。
環氧合成樹脂係一個分子中含兩個以上富有反應性的環氧基, 環氧合成樹脂雖可使用於成型, 積層, 接著工業及電子工業等多方面, 但還是以塗料用最多, 無論何種用途, 環氧合成樹脂均不能單獨使用, 必須加入硬化劑以形成三次元構造硬化。
環氧合成樹脂塗料之特性
環氧合成樹脂塗料因其優異之性能, 被廣泛應用在需要潔淨性’ 耐藥品性’ 防塵性’ 防滑性’ 甚至特殊之導電性的場所。
其無縫隙, 不發塵, 易清理的特性加上豐富多樣化的施工工法, 一直是高科技廠房(潔淨性, 導電性) ’ 化工廠(耐藥品性)’ 製藥廠(耐藥品性, 防塵性)’ 核能發電廠(耐放射性)’ 停車場(防滑性, 耐磨耗性)’ 物流倉儲(耐衝擊, 耐磨耗性)及各種實驗室(耐化學性)廣為採用之優良建材。

環氧基樹脂
最常見的應用就是AB膠啦！AB膠混合呈黑色，如：
固態繼電器、FLY BACK變壓器、LED...等，灌封。
具有產品保密、固定、散熱、堅硬、耐化學溶劑...等特性。

Epoxy or polyepoxide is a thermosetting epoxide polymer that cures (polymerizes and crosslinks) when mixed with a catalyzing agent or "hardener". Most common epoxy resins are produced from a reaction between epichlorohydrin and bisphenol-A. The first commercial attempts to prepare resins from epichlorohydrin occurred in 1927 in the United States. Credit for the first synthesis of bisphenol-A based epoxy resins is shared by Dr. Pierre Castan of Switzerland and Dr. S.O. Greenlee in the United States in 1936. Dr. Castan's work was licensed by Ciba, Ltd. of Switzerland and Ciba went on to become one of the 3 major epoxy resin producers worldwide. The epoxy business of Ciba was spun-off and later sold in the late 1990s and is now the advanced materials business unit of Huntsman Corporation of the United States. Dr. Greenlee's work was for the firm of Devoe-Reynolds of the United States. Devoe-Reynolds was a player in the early days of the epoxy resin industry, later selling its business to Shell Chemical (now Hexion, formerly Resolution Polymers and others).
Epoxies will not stick to mold-release compounds recommended for use with epoxy, and polyethylene sheeting, like disposable paint tarps and sandwich bags. Epoxy does not stick to the shiny side of packaging tape or paraffin wax.
