Big Pilot絕對是IWC最具代表性的一個系列之一，而說到Big Pilot，當中的Top Gun主題
又是今年度充滿討論度的話題之一，因暌違36年後上映的續作實在是非常精彩，也是我人
生中第一部進電影院二刷以上的電影。當時跟女友在其它電影的預告中看到這部，就覺得
這絕對要帶她進電影院欣賞這老式帥氣浪漫，一開始討論度不高，我們看的時候整個影廳
只有兩三排有坐人，超舒適，但隔週情況我想大家都知道了，票根本搶不到，最後我四刷
了這部。

整部電影中個人最有感的一幕，是Rear Admiral Chester Cain跟Captain Pete Mitchell
的那段對話。

Cain:
Maverick, thirty-plus years of service, combat medals, citations, only man to
shoot down three enemy planes in the last 40 years, distinguished, distinguish
ed, distinguished, yet you can't get a promotion. You won't retire. And despit
e your best efforts, you refuse to die. You should be at least a two-star admi
ral by now. Yet here your are. Captain. Why is that?

Maverick:
It's one of life's mysteries, sir.

Cain:
This is not a joke. I'm asking you a question.

Maverick:
I'm where I belong, sir.

Cain:
Well, the Navy doesn't see it that way, not anymore. The plane you've been tes
ting, captain, one day, sooner or later, they won't need pilots at all. Pilots
that need to sleep, eat, take a piss. (Looking outside the window.) Pilots th
at disobey orders. (Looking at Maverick.)......

Cain:
It galls me to say. For some reason known only to the Almighty and your guardi
an angel, you've been called back to Top Gun.

Maverick:
Sir?

Cain:
You're dismissed, captain.

(Pete走向門口時Cain再次開口，以下經典對話)

Cain:
The end is inevitable, Maverick. Your kind is heading to extinction.

Maverick:
Maybe so, sir. But not today.

挖靠，當時我們都被這回眸一句帥死，且超有感。

人生不就如此? 自古誰無死? 難不成因為終究要死，所以今天起就擺爛到生命終了?

當然不是。

只要不是今天，只要還不是，就活得精采直到最後一刻。這是多麼棒的人生態度啊，於是
便醞釀著要如何設計這句話，刻在與Top Gun有深厚淵源的大飛上。

金雕材料裡，銅是效果最好的材質，其一原因是它的質地較軟，所以可以做高肉浮雕。浮
雕用的刀不同於一般鋼材雕刻刀是切掉多餘底材用途，它是用[打]的，所以頭端為鈍端，
以推打方式敲出深淺，高低落差會較大，形成深刻對比，圖案邊緣也較圓潤，自帶導角。

單就質地軟，金也辦得到，之所以說銅效果最好在於其二原因，它比金活躍的易氧化特性
。一般來說這是銅的缺點，想要金色的話買銅錶不持久，但這特質到了金雕反而是優點。
金雕完後高低處如果同色調，圖案會很不明顯，所以一般需要上深漆做對比，這到了銅完
全不用，因為底層會自然氧化，隨著使用，表層經常觸摸而底部凹陷擦拭不到，對比會越
來越明顯，無需上漆。且因為上深漆也有一層不小的厚度，所以以自然薄氧化層上色的銅
，相較於一般金屬雕刻上深漆，它可以一直維持較大的高低視覺層次，同時產生跳色視覺
衝擊，是很理想的素材。
