Chingjing Veteran's Farm is located in Ren-ai Township in central Taiwan's Nantou County. Perched 1,750 meters above sea level, the farm was established in 1961 and covers an area of about 700 hectares, or from Wushe to the top of Mt Hehuan. Chingjing Veteran's Farm was originally established by the demobilized soldiers for agricultural developments. However, in recent decades the farm has undergone a transformation from an agricultural region into a tourist resort. In spring, the farm is decorated by green orchid leaves and luxurious peach, pear and apple blossoms. April in particular is the month for picking the spring tea, while May is the month for the chrysanthemum and rhododendron blossoms. In October, local and international visitors can watch the farm's magnificent maple leaves while tasting all kinds of fresh fruit, including peaches, pears, plums and kiwi fruits. The farm is also famous for its high-temperature vegetables, which are grown in the higher sea level area with the adaptable temperature between 13 and 24 degrees Celsius. These include green cabbage, sweet chili and the peas.
